Aftercare Programs

The Recovery Center of Baton Rouge offers a truly unique Aftercare Program that is not limited to just patients of The Recovery Center. We welcome patients from other treatment centers that are interested in staying connected and being involved in a group. We have 5 different aftercare groups that meet throughout the week at various times and days in order to accommodate the varying needs and schedules of our patients. We offer Aftercare groups that are gender-specific, professionals based, and young-adult based.

After Care is a weekly, 90 minute, therapy group for a minimum of one (1) year following treatment completion. The goals of the aftercare group may include helping the person stay “plugged-in” to the recovering community; to provide support; to offer accountability; and to address professional, relational, and emotional issues related to early recovery. Monthly progress updates to licensing boards or other concerned parties can be provided per the patient’s written request and consent.

Aftercare recommendations are made as part of the discharge plan, prior to the client completing treatment. Clients completing other treatment programs are welcome to participate in our aftercare program. Please call our admission staff for information on enrollment and fee schedule.
